Viña Sol Original from Torres is one of Spain's most famous white wines – and rightly so for decades. Light, fresh, and easy to drink, it's the ideal companion for anyone who wants to enjoy a carefree evening with a good glass of wine without having to think about it too much.
In the glass, Viña Sol displays a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections. It combines the typical Catalan grape varieties Parellada and Garnacha Blanca to create an aromatically vibrant white wine: apple, pineapple, and a hint of citrus meet a slightly exotic finish that lingers for a while. The grapes are harvested from mid-September, pressed immediately, and then fermented for two weeks in stainless steel tanks at a controlled 15°C – entirely without oak. The result is a freshness and clarity in the glass that is instantly apparent upon tasting.
Open it well chilled to 8–10 °C and enjoy:
- with light tapas, seafood or grilled fish
- with fresh salads and Mediterranean vegetables
- as a relaxed aperitif on a warm summer evening on the terrace

Fruity-fresh, clearly dry. Parellada and Garnacha Blanca bring apple, pineapple, and a hint of citrus to the glass, plus a slightly exotic finish. No wood, no richness – the stainless steel tank aging keeps everything lean and direct.
What does the Viña Sol pair best with?
It works well with tapas, seafood, grilled fish, and paella. It also makes a good impression with fresh salads or Mediterranean vegetables – and as an uncomplicated aperitif, anyway.
At what temperature should I serve it?
Best well-chilled between 8 and 10 °C. It quickly becomes flat when warmer – better to have it slightly too cold in the glass than too warm.
How long does an opened bottle keep?
Sealed in the refrigerator, it stays fresh for one to two days. After that, the fruit loses its vibrancy – it is designed for freshness, not for longevity.
How much alcohol does the Viña Sol have?
11.5% vol. – rather lean for a white wine from Spain, which fits the light, fresh style.
