A single-varietal Tempranillo from the Rioja DOCa — classically vinified, with the signature of a house that has shaped viticulture in Spain since the 17th century.

Torres, based in the Catalan Penedès, is one of the best-known wineries on the Iberian Peninsula. With the Altos Ibéricos Crianza, the family has extended its commitment to the Rioja — Spain's most prestigious wine-growing region with DOCa status since 1991. Tempranillo dominates the hills of the Ebro Valley here and is the lead grape variety for powerful, structured red wines.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep, luminous red. On the nose, a range of aromas of dark blackberry, wild berry jam, and a hint of vanilla, which comes from aging in wooden barrels. As a Crianza, it has had at least twelve months of barrel aging — this gives it round tannins, a noticeable structure, and a warm, spicy finish with notes of leather and dried herbs.
