Sangre de Toro
A red wine that has spoken for itself for decades: The Sangre de Toro from Torres is a reliable classic from the Penedès region — and one of the best-selling Spanish red wines worldwide.
Torres has been cultivating vineyards in Catalonia since 1870. Today, the family winery is one of the leading names in the Iberian wine scene, representing artisanal continuity and international reach. It was their Sangre de Toro that brought Torres to global prominence in the 1970s.
Seven days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28–30 °C, followed by two weeks of maceration with the grape skins for color and structure. Six months of aging in 300-liter American oak barrels shape the aroma profile: dark blackberry, plum, a hint of vanilla, and sweet wood spice. Medium-bodied on the palate, soft tannins, pleasantly approachable.
Ready to drink now, best before 2026. Serving temperature 16–18 °C.
