Summer Feeling Sample Pack

Product description
Six bottles, one theme: The Summerfeeling sample pack brings together fresh white wines and a rosé from Italy, Germany, and Spain – styles that work on the terrace, at the barbecue, or during dinner outdoors. The range extends from a light Franconian rosé and a Palatinate Off-Dry cuvée to a substantial Lugana from Lake Garda. Anyone who likes to have different characters in their cellar during the summer will get six tried-and-tested bottles from a single source here.
Two bottles stand out in particular. The Pierpaolo Pecorari Chardonnay Venezia Giulia IGT comes from San Lorenzo Isontino in the Collio border region, where alpine coolness and Adriatic freshness shape the climate. Pecorari ferments grapes grown on the region's typical leafy clay marl at cool temperatures in barrels, with weekly batonnage. The result is not a butter-heavy barrique Chardonnay, but something leaner: ripe apple, hazelnut, clear acidity, long finish. At the other end of the spectrum is the Studier Sommersemester Cuvée Off-Dry from the Palatinate – one-third Riesling, one-third Sauvignon Blanc, one-third Chardonnay. Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc provide freshness and contour, while Chardonnay rounds it off. In the glass, gooseberry, melon, and fresh apple; the small amount of residual sugar holds the fruit and acidity together without being too sweet.
Joining them are the Cobue Lugana Gold with its creamy texture and ripe peach from the calcareous clay soil of Lake Garda, the Hammel & Cie "Ein Tag am Meer" Sauvignon Blanc from the Palatinate with kiwi, passion fruit, and grapefruit from half steel and half wooden barrel aging, the Valle d'Oro Pecorino from the Abruzzo region with tropical fruit and jasmine, as well as the Winzer Sommerach Sommerlaune Rosa – a Franconian rosé with only 9.5% ABV, fresh strawberry, and redcurrant, which has its best moment when well chilled.
Pairs well with: grilled fish with lemon-herb butter, bruschetta with tomatoes and basil, goat cheese, light pasta with seafood, or a summery buffet with cold appetizers. The pack is suitable as a gift for wine enthusiasts, as a supply for the barbecue season, or as an introduction to lesser-known regions such as Friuli or the Abruzzo – six bottles that cover the summer without having to think long about what to open and when.
