Malesan Cuvée Sélectionnée Bordeaux

An approachable Bordeaux with a classic profile: Merlot-dominated, aged for six months in oak barrels, for uncomplicated evenings without a long wait.

Malesan is the volume Bordeaux label of Castel Châteaux & Grands Crus , one of France's largest wine houses, based in Bordeaux. The Cuvée Sélectionnée demonstrates what good entry-level Bordeaux can achieve: straightforward fruit, expertly crafted, and ready to drink now.

In the glass, a deep ruby red with garnet highlights. On the nose, red plums, blackberry, and a subtle vanilla note from the oak barrel. On the palate, soft tannins, medium body, fruity, and a rounded finish.

Serving suggestion: Serve at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with duck breast with red wine jus, pasta with meat sauce, or strong semi-hard cheese. Not for long-term cellaring—drink now.
