In the glass, the wine shows a salmon color with slightly violet tones. It appears young and fresh, but at the same time has character. The cuvée consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Semillon. This mixture gives the wine complexity without making it heavy.

What does the Château Cavalier Cuvée Marafiance pair with?

The Château Cavalier Cuvée Marafiance pairs with salad, seafood, oysters, and goat cheese. The fresh fruit and the dry style go well with light, salty, and creamy dishes. It is also convincing as an aperitif.

Serve the rosé at 8 to 10 °C. At this temperature, the aromas of redcurrant and grapefruit come into their own clearly. The freshness is preserved in the process.

The wine is suitable for summery evenings on the terrace, for a meal with friends, or for the first course of a menu. A plate of oysters, a salad with warm goat cheese, or a platter of seafood make for a harmonious combination. It also fits as a prelude to a light meal on cooler days.

Castel Châteaux & Grands Crus

It would have been easier to rest on safe values. But the Castell family thinks further ahead. They preserve the know-how, pass the passion on to the next generation, and maintain their châteaus and domains – with joy and foresight.

For them, wine is more than a product: It is about culture. About sharing knowledge, about exchange with chefs, sommeliers, and everyone who loves taste. Producing country wines and Grands Crus is one thing. The other: not keeping anything to themselves.

Sustainable, responsible, and with heart. Because at Castel Châteaux & Grands Crus, they live by the conviction that wine must follow its ideas. Persistent, courageous, and with a flame that carries on – from generation to generation.
