Château d'Arcins Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

Located between Margaux and Saint-Julien, Château d'Arcins shows what the Haut-Médoc can achieve on gravel and sand soils: a red wine with structure and finesse that needs no grand gestures.

The Château belongs to the Castel Group, one of France's most significant wine producers with deep roots in the Bordeaux region. The classification as Cru Bourgeois stands for verified quality and artisanal reliability — a solid anchor in the often confusing Médoc selection.

In the glass, it reveals a concentrated red wine with aromas of cherry and dark berries, a hint of mint, and subtle woody notes in the background. The tannins are present but pleasantly integrated — the sandy gravel soil gives the wine a certain lightness, typical for this intermediate location between the two famous appellations.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Pairs with leg of lamb with herbs, beef brisket, or a strong goat cheese.

Castel Châteaux & Grands Crus

It would have been easier to rest on their laurels. But the Castell family thinks ahead. They preserve their expertise, pass on their passion to the next generation, and cultivate their châteaux and estates with joy and vision. For them, wine is more than a product: it's about culture. About sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas with chefs, sommeliers, and all those who love good taste. Producing regional wines and Grands Crus is one thing. Another is keeping nothing to themselves. Sustainably, responsibly, and with heart. Because at Castel Châteaux & Grands Crus, they live by the conviction that wine must follow its own vision. Persistently, boldly, and with a flame that carries on – from generation to generation.
