The Château du Bousquet - Côtes de Bourg, in particular, is a very elegant, round wine of deep red color, whose aromas are reminiscent of raspberries, gooseberries, and currants, with light wood notes also to be guessed. On the palate, it shows itself to be fleshy and with silky but powerful tannins.

How does the Château du Bousquet Côtes de Bourg taste?
It presents itself as an elegant and round Bordeaux with a deep red color. Fruity notes of raspberry, currant, and gooseberry dominate the nose, accompanied by a subtle woody spice. On the palate, it feels fleshy with silky but powerful tannins.
What does this red wine go best with?
Due to its powerful tannins and dark fruit, it is a classic companion to meat dishes. Serve it with grilled beef, roasted poultry, or game. This Cabernet Sauvignon also cuts a fine figure with autumnal mushroom dishes.
At what temperature should I serve the wine?
The ideal temperature is between 16 and 18 °C. If you take it slightly chilled from the cellar or wine climate cabinet, the berry aromas and the fine woody note come into their own best.
Do I need to decant this Bordeaux before drinking?
Since it brings powerful tannins, the wine definitely benefits from some oxygen. It is often enough to open the bottle one to two hours before serving. If you pour it into a carafe, it will become even softer and more accessible on the palate.
How do I best store the wine if I want to keep it?
Lay the bottle horizontally in a dark, cool place with a constant temperature if possible – ideally in a cellar. This keeps the cork moist, seals it tightly, and allows the wine to refine its structure in peace.
