L'Odalet Marselan Syrah

In the Pays d'Oc region, it was previously common practice to cultivate single-varietal (mono-cepages) wines to offer consumers a clarity that was previously lacking. The next step involves combining two complementary grape varieties, such as Marselan and Syrah. The Marselan lends the wine body and a beautiful, deep red color. The Syrah provides acidity, a fresh character, and spice. The resulting Odalet Marselan-Syrah is a powerful, intense wine with aromas reminiscent of licorice, plums, tobacco, and blackcurrant. With good acidity and fine tannins, it presents itself as lush and ripe, yet also rounded and smooth.
