Antinori Rosso Toscana IGT half bottle

Antinori Rosso Toscana IGT half bottle
A classic introduction to the world of Tuscan wines from one of Italy's most famous houses – compact in the 0.375-liter bottle, concentrated in the glass.
Antinori boasts over 600 years of winemaking history. This Florentine family business has significantly shaped Tuscany – from the introduction of barrique aging to the modern Super Tuscan. The Rosso Toscana IGT represents the accessible side of this philosophy: Tuscan grape varieties, artisanal production, and an easy-drinking character.
After 12 months in barriques and a further 6 months of bottle aging, the wine displays a ruby-red color with violet reflections. The nose offers aromas of sour cherry, ripe plum, and a subtle hint of cedar. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with soft tannins and a lively acidity that keeps the finish fresh.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Pairs well with pasta al ragù, grilled lamb chops, or a mature pecorino. A half bottle is ideal for a dinner for two or as an accompaniment to a cheese board without having to open a whole bottle.

Marchesi Antinori from Florence is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in the world: the family has been cultivating wine continuously since 1385 and still owns and manages the company today. In 1971, Piero Antinori, together with oenologist Giacomo Tachis, laid the foundation for a revolution when he created Tignanello, the first Super Tuscan – a Sangiovese-Cabernet blend aged in barriques, which fundamentally changed the wine world. Today, Piero's daughters Albiera, Allegra, and Alessia manage the company, which owns approximately 1,200 hectares of vineyards in Tuscany, Umbria, Piedmont, Apulia, and California. At Antinori, tradition and bold innovation are not opposites, but rather the foundation of every single bottle.
