Domaine Chanson
Domaine Chanson –
Burgundy from historic vineyards since 1750
Domaine Chanson is one of the oldest wineries in Burgundy: founded in Beaune in 1750, it has survived revolutions, phylloxera, and the turn of the century. Since 1999, it has belonged to the Bollinger Group, which has carefully modernized the estate – without compromising the character of the old vineyards.
The 45 hectares of vineyards are spread across classic appellations of the Côte de Beaune: Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis. Many parcels are located in Premier Cru sites, whose soils – limestone, clay, and marl – give the wines their typical tension between fruit and minerality.
The heart of the winery is the so-called Bastion, a 15th-century vaulted cellar in the heart of Beaune. Here, the wines mature at a constant temperature and humidity – an advantage that few modern buildings can replicate. Chanson's wines are Burgundian classics: precise, age-worthy, and bearing the unmistakable terroir imprint of the Côte d'Or.
