Givry Rouge

Givry Rouge
Givry represents what the Côte Chalonnaise does best: approachable Burgundies with genuine Pinot character, without the price of the Côte de Nuits.
Domaine Chanson is one of Burgundy's most traditional wineries, with roots in 18th-century Beaune. Their Givry-Rouge demonstrates the results of expert handling of Pinot Noir from the chalky soils of the Chalonnaise: a wine with depth that nevertheless remains approachable at an early age.
A brilliant ruby red in the glass. The nose opens with peony and raspberry, followed by ripe strawberry notes and a subtle peppery note that adds tension to the wine. On the palate, a firm structure, medium-bodied tannins, and lively acidity that carries the long, fruit-driven finish.
