Bourgogne Chardonnay

A classic Bourgogne Chardonnay that shows what the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise can extract even from young vines: fresh fruit, clear minerality, and a lively acid structure.

Domaine Chanson is one of the oldest houses in the Côte de Beaune – founded in 1750 in Beaune, today part of the Bollinger Group. The grapes for this entry-level Bourgogne come from several parcels, predominantly from young vines. Not a prestige site wine, but an honest artisan product from one of the most famous Chardonnay addresses in the world.

Light yellow in the glass with green reflections. On the nose, ripe pear, a hint of mango, and fresh honey – underpinned by a fine minerality. On the palate, lean and crisp, the acidity well-integrated, no sharp edges. The finish brings back lemon zest and a touch of chalk.

Great companion to risotto

I cooked the gourmet recipe from the Vinoscout magazine and the risotto and wine were a dream together

Domaine Chanson

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Burgundy. It is among the few estates that have survived since the 18th century. Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has undertaken extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the finest in Burgundy. Nestled amidst picturesque hills, the 45 hectares of vineyards flourish in the most prestigious appellations, including Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis. Here, tradition and modernity blend seamlessly, creating a unique symbiosis that imparts a distinctive character to each wine. The historic Bastion, a 15th-century wine cellar, is the heart of the estate. Within these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under ideal conditions. Each bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
