Domaine Chanson Chablis Montmains Premier Cru

Domaine Chanson Chablis Montmains Premier Cru
Montmains is one of the most renowned Premier Cru vineyards in Chablis – a slope with a high proportion of Kimmeridge, which imparts pronounced minerality and structure to the Chardonnay. Domaine Chanson from Beaune, rooted in Burgundy since 1750, vinifies this wine with the aim of letting the terroir speak for itself: no oak masking, but rather cellar work ensuring precision.
In the glass, the Montmains displays a clear, light golden color. The nose offers citrus blossom, green apple, and a distinct flinty note – the typical Chablis profile derived from the chalky clay soils of Kimmeridge. On the palate, it presents a firm, lively acidity, medium body, and a fine, saline texture. The finish is long, cool, and mineral – not a sumptuous Burgundy style, but rather the clean, bone-dry signature of northern Burgundy.
Drinking window: now until 2030; the wine gains depth with two to three years of aging. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
