Chanson Chablis Fourchaumes

Chanson Chablis Fourchaumes
The Chanson Chablis Fourchaumes comes from one of the most renowned Premier Cru sites in Chablis — and you can taste it. Cool minerality, taut acidity, clear fruit: a Pinot Blanc terroir that is second to none.
Maison Chanson is one of the oldest négociant houses in Burgundy, founded in 1750 in Beaune. Since its acquisition by the Bollinger Group, the house has been managed with a clear focus on terroir expression. The Fourchaumes site is located northeast of Chablis, on the characteristic Kimmeridgian limestone with its embedded oyster fossils — the geological foundation for the typical salty tone in the glass.
On the nose, the wine shows white flowers, green apple, and citrus zest. On the palate, a precise, almost cutting acidity follows, underpinned by a fine chalky mineral tone. The finish is long, salty, and dry — without any heaviness.
- Food: Oysters, scallops, sea bream with herbs, goat cheese
- Temperature: 10–12 °C

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Burgundy. It is among the few estates that have survived since the 18th century. Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has undertaken extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the finest in Burgundy. Nestled amidst picturesque hills, the 45 hectares of vineyards flourish in the most prestigious appellations, including Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis. Here, tradition and modernity blend seamlessly, creating a unique symbiosis that imparts a distinctive character to each wine. The historic Bastion, a 15th-century wine cellar, is the heart of the estate. Within these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under ideal conditions. Each bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
