Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Fèves Monopole Premier Cru

Clos des Fèves is one of the few true monopole vineyards in Beaune: 3.8 hectares, entirely owned by Domaine Chanson, situated amidst the Premier Cru vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. A vineyard steeped in history – first documented in 1307 under the Latin name "Fae".

Domaine Chanson is one of the oldest négociant houses in the Côte d'Or (founded in 1750) and is located within the historic fortifications of Beaune. The estate cultivates approximately 45 hectares, with a particular focus on Premier and Grand Cru parcels in Beaune and Pommard.

In the glass, this Pinot Noir displays a clear ruby color with violet reflections. The nose offers aromas of sour cherry and raspberry, along with a hint of white pepper and subtle cedar from barrel aging. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with silky tannins and a lively acidity – typical of Beaune Premier Cru. The finish is long, spicy, and mineral.

Drinking recommendation: Drinking window 2024–2032. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. Pairs well with duck breast with cherry sauce, Coq au vin or aged Époisses.
