Owned by the Devillard family since 1996, the estate also boasts other prestigious properties such as Château de Chamirey and Domaine de la Ferté. Domaine des Perdrix wines are an expression of the region's unique terroir. From meticulous hand-harvesting and gentle destemming to extended aging in oak barrels, every step is executed with the utmost precision to produce wines of outstanding quality. The wines typically mature for 18 months in oak barrels, with the proportion of new oak varying depending on the wine: 30% for village wines, 60% for Premier Crus and up to 90% for Grand Crus.

Domaine des Perdrix —
Burgundy precision from Premeaux-Prissey

Domaine des Perdrix is located in Premeaux-Prissey, a small village just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, where the Côte de Nuits boasts its most concentrated Pinot Noir terroirs. The Devillard family has managed the 12-hectare estate since 1996, which includes the Premier Cru "Aux Perdrix," almost entirely owned by the Domaine and giving the winery its name.

In the cellar, craftsmanship dictates the pace: hand-harvesting, gentle destemming, followed by 18 months of aging in oak barrels. The proportion of new oak increases with the vineyard site—30% for the village wines, 60% for the Premier Crus, and up to 90% for the Grand Crus. The result is wines that clearly reflect the terroir of the Côte de Nuits: dark cherry, earth, a subtle spiciness, and the structure typical of Nuits-Saint-Georges, which carries aging potential for many years.

Besides Domaine des Perdrix, the Devillard family owns other estates in Burgundy, including Château de Chamirey in the Mercurey appellation. For lovers of classic Burgundy Pinot Noirs with a clear expression of origin, Domaine des Perdrix is a reliable choice.
