Château de Chamirey —
five generations of Devillard in the Côte Chalonnaise

Château de Chamirey is located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, that often underestimated part of Burgundy between Beaune and Mâcon, where limestone soils and a continental climate give Pinot Noir a cool spice and Chardonnay a precise fruit. The estate dates back to the 18th century and has been in the hands of the Devillard family since 1934 — now managed by the fifth generation.

The 37 hectares of vineyards are spread across several sites, 15 hectares of which are classified as Premier Cru. This high proportion is unusual for the Côte Chalonnaise and reflects the quality of the plots that the winery has built up over decades. In the cellar, the family relies on artisanal care: gentle vinification, controlled aging, no intervention that masks the terroir.

Sustainable viticulture is not a marketing promise for Chamirey, but a lived practice — the natural cycles of the vineyards determine the rhythm of the work. The result is Burgundies that make their origin and craftsmanship clearly readable: structured, age-worthy, with the typical depth of the appellation.
