Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Marconnets Premier Cru

A classic Burgundy wine from the northern part of the Beaune appellation — structured, aromatically complex, and with the typical signature of a grand premier cru.

Domaine Chanson is one of the oldest wineries in the Côte de Beaune, founded in 1750. The Clos des Marconnets — named after the Germanic tribe of the Marcomanni — lies in the northern tip of the appellation, where the soils are richer in clay and the wines turn out more full-bodied than in the central sites. Chanson manages four hectares of the Clos, around 40% of the total area.

In the glass, luminous ruby red. On the nose, peony and violet, underneath stewed cherry and blackberry, a hint of vanilla and clove. On the palate, medium to powerful body, fine acidity, elegant tannins without hard edges — the texture is dense but not heavy. The finish lingers with fruity and spicy notes.

Domaine Chanson

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in the Burgundy region. It is one of the few wineries that has remained in existence since the 18th century.

Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has carried out extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the best in Burgundy. Amidst the picturesque hills stretch the 45 hectares of vineyards, which thrive in the most prestigious sites such as Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis.

Here, tradition and modernity merge into a unique symbiosis that gives every wine a special touch. The historic bastion, a wine cellar from the 15th century, is the heart of the winery.

In these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under perfect conditions. Every bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
