Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Fèves Monopole Premier Cru

The Clos des Fèves is one of the most famous single vineyards in Beaune — 4.5 hectares of walled vineyard, entirely in the hands of Domaine Chanson. This monopole lies in the heart of the Premier Cru zone, on clay-limestone soil with a southeastern exposure, and has been considered for centuries one of the most reliable addresses for Beaune Burgundy.

Chanson is one of the oldest négociants in the Côte de Beaune — founded in 1750, today part of the Bollinger Group. The winery manages its sites according to sustainable principles; the vinification follows a classic Burgundian approach: whole-cluster percentage, aging in oak barriques.

In the glass, the wine shows aromas of sour cherry and raspberry, underscored by white pepper and a hint of cedar wood. The tannins are present but fine-grained — typical for well-situated Beaune sites. The finish remains long, with a spicy note that points to the oak aging. Medium to full body, good acid structure.

Serving temperature 16–17 °C Pairs with duck breast with cherries, veal kidneys, or mature Époisses.

Domaine Chanson

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in the Burgundy region. It is one of the few wineries that has remained in existence since the 18th century.

Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has carried out extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the best in Burgundy. Amidst the picturesque hills stretch the 45 hectares of vineyards, which thrive in the most prestigious sites such as Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis.

Here, tradition and modernity merge into a unique symbiosis that gives every wine a special touch. The historic bastion, a wine cellar from the 15th century, is the heart of the winery.

In these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under perfect conditions. Every bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
