Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Fèves Monopole Premier Cru

The Clos des Fèves is one of the most famous single vineyards in the Côte de Beaune — and one of the rare monopoles of Burgundy: 4.5 hectares exclusively in the hands of Domaine Chanson. The Domaine is one of the oldest négociant houses in the Côte d'Or, founded in 1750, and since 2000 in the hands of the Bollinger Champagne group. From this combination of historical site and experienced cellar team, a Premier Cru is created that shows Beaune in its classic form.

In the glass, a medium-deep ruby develops with violet reflections. On the nose, sour cherry, raspberry, and a hint of violet, underscored by subtle oak and a light touch of white pepper. On the palate, medium body, fine-grained tannins, and a lively acidity that gives the wine structure and freshness. The finish is long, spicy, with a persistent line of fruit.

With air or after brief decanting, it shows itself at its most open. Serving temperature: 16–17 °C. With food, it pairs with Coq au Vin, veal medallions with mushrooms, or a mature Époisses.

Domaine Chanson

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in the Burgundy region. It is one of the few wineries that has remained in existence since the 18th century.

Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has carried out extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the best in Burgundy. Amidst the picturesque hills stretch the 45 hectares of vineyards, which thrive in the most prestigious sites such as Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis.

Here, tradition and modernity merge into a unique symbiosis that gives every wine a special touch. The historic bastion, a wine cellar from the 15th century, is the heart of the winery.

In these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under perfect conditions. Every bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
