Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Fèves Monopole Premier Cru

A Premier Cru from Beaune with monopoly status and a history dating back to 1307 — Clos des Fèves is one of the most important single vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Chanson has cultivated the 3.8-hectare hillside vineyard at mid-altitude exclusively for generations, giving the wine a rare sense of origin.

A brilliant ruby red in the glass. The nose offers aromas of raspberry, sour cherry, and strawberry, underpinned by white pepper and a subtle hint of oak. On the palate, the wine displays a fine texture with elegant, well-integrated tannins—typical of Beaune, which offers less structure than Pommard but more depth than a simple village wine. The finish is long, fruity, and slightly spicy.

Best served between 16 and 18 °C . Pairs well with duck breast with cherries, rack of lamb with a herb crust, or a mature Époisses. For those with a little patience: the wine will develop even more complexity and finesse with another three to five years of cellaring.

Domaine Chanson

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Burgundy. It is among the few estates that have survived since the 18th century. Since 1999, it has been part of the Bollinger Group, which has undertaken extensive restorations and modernizations to make the winery one of the finest in Burgundy. Nestled amidst picturesque hills, the 45 hectares of vineyards flourish in the most prestigious appellations, including Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chablis. Here, tradition and modernity blend seamlessly, creating a unique symbiosis that imparts a distinctive character to each wine. The historic Bastion, a 15th-century wine cellar, is the heart of the estate. Within these venerable walls, the wines mature to true perfection under ideal conditions. Each bottle tells a story of dedication and craftsmanship.
