Cielo e Terra –
Veneto from over 1000 winegrowers' hands
The story of Cielo e Terra begins in 1908, when the Cielo family acquired land in the province of Vicenza – in the hilly landscape of the Colli Berici, not far from the castles of Romeo and Juliet. The property already included a small vineyard called Casa Defrà, which laid the foundation for everything that followed.
In 1960, this led to the formation of a cooperative that today unites over 1,000 winegrowers on approximately 3,700 hectares in the Veneto region . What unites them is a shared ambition: to produce wines that honestly reflect the character of the northeastern Italian hills – from light white wines to full-bodied red wines made from grape varieties such as Garganega, Pinot Grigio, or Corvina.
Sustainability is not a marketing promise at Cielo e Terra, but an integral part of the company's structure: resource-conserving cultivation, short distances between vineyard and cellar, and a consistent commitment to the region characterize the work at the winery. Today, Cielo e Terra exports to over 60 countries – but the origin always remains the same: the hills of Veneto.
