Terre di Montelusa Brindisi Riserva

Gambero Rosso rightly raves about the “great power of the terroir and local traditions” that characterizes the wine world of Apulia. Here in the heel of Italy's boot, Italy's most renowned wine guide praises the local grape varieties, which produce "precisely the wines the market demands today: the robust, full-bodied Primitivo, for example, or the warm, complex Negroamaro, distinguished by its structure and excellent aging potential." The grapes for Terre di Montelusa Brindisi Riserva come from select vineyards in the Apulian region of Brindisi DOC. The poor soils, old vines, and an ideal climate yield highly aromatic grapes. The Negroamaro grape, which defines this wine, is also the region's most important variety. A 12-month aging period in oak barrels lends this elegant, fruity, and intensely aromatic Riserva a velvety-smooth oak note, harmoniously rounding off its distinctive character. Opulent, intensely aromatic, elegant, and fruity, with a velvety-smooth oak note.
