Salice Salentino Riserva DOC Il Tauro

From the southernmost tip of Italy (the heel of the boot), the Salento region, comes this expressive red wine, which ages exceptionally well and develops an unusual elegance and complexity of aromas for a southern wine. The vineyards of the Salice Salentino DOC area benefit from the proximity of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, which moderate the hot climate. Here, noble, indigenous grape varieties are cultivated under strict yield restrictions to maintain the high quality of the wines. Remarkable results are achieved through the selection of the vines and the most meticulous care during cultivation and vinification. The Salice Salentino Riserva DOC Il Tauro reflects the changing tastes of wine drinkers who prefer the robust southern red wine styles to the lighter, fruitier wines of northern Italy.
