Barolo DOCG
A classic Barolo from Piedmont — rich in tannins, structured and with the typical character of the Nebbiolo grape from the Langhe hills.
Prunotto is one of the most renowned wineries in Barolo. Based in Alba, the estate boasts a history dating back to the 1920s. Now part of the Antinori group, Prunotto works with grapes from several vineyards within the appellation—their classic entry-level Barolo showcases the broad character of the appellation without the distinctiveness of a single vineyard.
After 18 months of aging in oak barrels and a further 12 months in the bottle, a mature aroma profile emerges: blackberry, black cherry, and a hint of blackberry liqueur in the background. On the palate, firm yet silky tannins—the oak aging has softened the typical Nebbiolo austerity without sacrificing structure. The finish offers notes of cocoa and ripe dark fruit.
