Prunotto Cerretta Barolo DOCG
The Cerretta comes from one of the most respected single vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba — a municipality known for its dense, long-lived Barolos. Prunotto, rooted in the Langhe since 1904 and now part of the Antinori group, manages the site with the goal of reflecting the character of the limestone-clay shale soil in the glass.
In the glass, the Nebbiolo shows its typical ruby red color with a slightly garnet rim. On the nose, violet and dried rose, underneath layers of cherry jam, tobacco, and a hint of tar — classic Serralunga signature. On the palate, silky-structured tannins that provide pressure without scratching, carried by a lively acidity. Long finish with licorice and cedarwood.
With potential for longer storage. Serving temperature 17–18 °C, preferably decanted two hours beforehand.
- Braised beef shoulder or Brasato al Barolo
- Game ragù with pappardelle
- Aged Parmigiano Reggiano (36 months)
