Prunotto Cerretta Barolo DOCG
The Cerretta comes from one of the most prestigious single vineyards, Serranga d'Albas — a municipality known for its dense, long-lived Barolos. Prunotto, rooted in the Langhe since 1904 and now part of the Antinori group, cultivates the vineyard with the aim of reflecting the character of the limestone-clay shale soil in the glass.
In the glass, the Nebbiolo displays its typical ruby-red color with a slightly garnet rim. The nose offers aromas of violets and dried roses, underpinned by layers of cherry jam, tobacco, and a hint of tar—a classic Serralunga signature. On the palate, silky-structured tannins provide structure without harshness, supported by vibrant acidity. A long finish with notes of licorice and cedar.
Drinking window: 2025–2035, with potential for longer aging. Serving temperature 17–18 °C, decant two hours beforehand if desired.
