Prunotto Bric Turot Barbaresco DOCG

Prunotto Bric Turot Barbaresco DOCG
Bric Turot is Prunotto's single-vineyard Barbaresco from the eponymous vineyard in the heart of Neive — more concentrated and structured than a classic entry-level Barbaresco, but more approachable than many traditional representatives of the denomination.
Prunotto is one of the oldest wineries in Piedmont, founded in Alba in 1904. Since 1989, under the Antinori umbrella, the winery manages its own vineyards in Barbaresco and Barolo. The Bric Turot vineyard lies on the calcareous tuff soils of Neive, which impart a finer tannin structure to the Nebbiolo than the heavier soils of Serralunga.
In the glass, it displays a deep garnet red. The nose offers blackberry, violet, and dried rose, along with licorice and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with ripe, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and a long finish with spicy notes of clove and dark fruit. Twelve months of aging in oak barrels and barriques give the wine structure without masking the fruit.
Drinking window: now until 2030. Serving temperature 17–18 °C. Pairs well with braised leg of lamb, venison ragù with pappardelle, brasato al Barolo or aged Parmigiano Reggiano.
