Barolo Mosconi DOCG 0.75L
The Mosconi vineyard is one of the most prestigious single vineyards in Barolo – and Prunotto is one of the estates that have shaped this cru philosophy in Piedmont. A Barolo with substance and aging potential.
Prunotto was founded in Alba in 1904 and has been part of the Antinori Group since 1989, without losing its Piedmontese character. The Mosconi vineyard is located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, known for powerful, structured Nebbiolo wines grown on Helvetian limestone marl. These soils impart the wine's typical density and longevity.
In the glass, it displays an intense garnet red with an orange rim. The nose offers aromas of sage, rosemary, and forest floor – classically terroir-driven, with the herbaceous spice that distinguishes Monforte from the lighter vineyards in La Morra. On the palate, the wine is generous and dense, the tannins present and firm, but not harsh. The finish is long and lingering, with a dry, spicy aftertaste.
Drinking window: From now on with decanting (at least 2 hours), better from 2026–2030 for full maturity. Serving temperature 17–18 °C.
