Barbaresco DOCG

Nebbiolo from the heart of Piedmont — rich in tannins, aromatically complex and with the structural tension that characterizes Barbaresco.

Prunotto is one of the most renowned wineries in the Langhe region. Founded in 1904, the winery in Alba was one of the first to make single-vineyard wines from Piedmont accessible to a wider audience. Today it is part of the Antinori group, but its focus remains unchanged on the region's classic grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Moscato.

This Barbaresco spends 10 months in oak barrels —a rather moderate aging for the appellation, which emphasizes the fruit. In the glass, it displays a garnet red color with red highlights. The nose offers aromas of dried cherry, licorice, and a hint of rose petal—typical of Nebbiolo from the hills surrounding Barbaresco. On the palate, velvety tannins, lively acidity, and a spicy finish with hints of cardamom and dark leather.
