Porto Fine Tawny 19% vol Ramos Pinto 0.75L

Porto Fine Tawny 19% vol Ramos Pinto 0.75L
A classic Tawny Port from Ramos Pinto, one of the most traditional houses in the Douro Valley: ruby red with distinct orange reflections at the rim — the typical sign of oxidative aging in small wooden barrels, the so-called Canteiro process, which gives Tawny its characteristic color and depth.
Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 in Vila Nova de Gaia and today belongs to the Louis Roederer Champagne group. The house is known for its careful selection from its own Quintas in the Douro Superior. The Fine Tawny is the classic entry into the Tawny range: accessible, yet with a clear signature. On the nose, plum, tobacco, and cedarwood; on the palate, full-bodied with off-dry spice and a long finish with subtle nut aromas — walnut and a hint of dried fig.
Best served slightly chilled at 14–16 °C. Pairs with slightly sweet desserts like crème brûlée or almond tart, with aged hard cheese like Manchego or Comté — or simply as a quiet conclusion after a meal, pure in a small port wine glass.

The Ramos Pinto winery dates back to 1880, when Adriano Ramos Pinto laid the foundation for the wine production that bears his name. The estate developed rapidly and achieved worldwide renown – not least thanks to its membership in the Roederer Group. After business flourished in its home country of Portugal, exports to the Brazilian market began. Today, Frédéric Rouzaud manages the winery, continuing the tradition of five successful generations.
