Justino's Madeira Fine Medium Dry DOC

Justino's Madeira Fine Medium Dry DOC
Madeira is not port wine — and that's what makes it so special. Justino's Fine Medium Dry shows what the island is capable of: an oxidatively aged wine with natural acidity that hardly changes even after the bottle is opened.
Justino's Madeira Vinhos is one of the oldest producers on the island, founded in 1870. The winery uses the Estufagem method, typical of Madeira: the wine matures at elevated temperatures in old wooden barrels, which creates its characteristic longevity and complexity. The "Fine" classification signifies a minimum of three years of aging—a solid entry point into the Madeira style.
In the glass, the wine shines a deep golden yellow . On the nose, it opens with aromas of dried fig, walnut, and a hint of caramel, underpinned by a fresh acidity that distinguishes Madeira from other sweet wines. On the palate, it is medium-sweet with a clear structure, leading to a long, oxidative finish with a touch of orange zest.
Serving temperature: 14–16 °C. Pairs well with blue cheese, foie gras, or as an accompaniment to walnut desserts. Madeira is also excellent for cooking — it will keep for several weeks once opened.
