This is primarily due to the over 300 hectares of its own vineyard area, which officially count among the cream of the crop of the growing region.
On the slopes that drop steeply in terraces to the Douro Valley, the grapes of the traditional Portuguese grape varieties receive plenty of sun in the hot, dry summer months and thus develop the power, richness, and ripeness that characterize the unique character of Port wine.

Full-bodied
Ruby red, with brown hints. The bouquet is nutty with barrique notes. Soft and very nuanced, above all fig, dried fruit, raisin and plum. Extremely delicious.

How does the Dona Antónia Reserva Tawny taste?
Ripe and round, with aromas of dried fruits, nut, and a hint of caramel from aging in wood. The sweetness is present but well-integrated by the warmth of the 19.5% alcohol; the finish remains long and soft.
What does this Tawny Port pair with?
Classic with strong cheese like aged Gouda or blue cheese, as well as desserts with caramel, nut, or dark chocolate. Also a classic neat as the end of a meal.
At what temperature should it be served?
Best served slightly chilled at 16-18°C. This emphasizes the fruit and wood notes without making the sweetness feel too heavy.
Does the bottle keep for a long time after opening?
Tawny Port is significantly more stable than open wine due to its aging in wood and high alcohol content. Well-sealed and stored in a cool place, an opened bottle will keep for several weeks without noticeably losing aroma.
What makes this port wine special?
