Duas Quintas Ramos Pinto Douro

The Quinta de Ervamoira is located at a low altitude, predominantly on slate soils in the heart of the Douro Valley. Here, the grapes are grown in a hot, dry climate, which thus ensures a continuously deep ripeness.

At a higher level, we find the Quinta dos Bons Ares, where the grapes grow on granite and ripen in fresh, windy weather, which gives them freshness and liveliness.

Manual harvest and selection. 80% aged in steel tanks and 20% in barriques for 18 months.

The result is a bright garnet red wine, which is streaked with light red reflections in the light. The bouquet of the Duas Quintas initially waits with floral notes, which are underscored by intense, fruity scents; among them ripe plums and figs and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, the Duas Quintas appears very dense and refreshing. Silky tannins accompany the path to a beautiful finish, which is characterized by the aromas of ripe cherries.

The Quinta

Ramos Pinto

The Ramos Pinto winery dates back to the year 1880. At that time, Adriano Ramos Pinto laid the foundation for the wine production named after him. The estate developed rapidly and achieved great fame worldwide - not least thanks to its membership in the Roederer Group.

After business in the home country of Portugal was running perfectly, they began exporting to the Brazilian market. Today, Frédéric Rouzaud manages the fortunes of the winery and thus continues the tradition of five successful generations.
