Olio extra vergine Orcio Polpo

The Orcio Polpo from Muraglia comes from Apulia, the heart of Italian olive oil production, and is made exclusively from the Peranzana olive — an old local variety known for its balanced fruitiness. It is bottled in the characteristic ceramic jug with a hand-painted octopus motif, a trademark of the Muraglia house.

In the glass, the oil shows medium fruitiness: green herbs, ripe tomato, and a gentle bitter note on the finish — typical for Peranzana, without the sharpness of some Southern Italian varieties. The consistency is smooth, the finish clear and pleasant. Store in a cool, dark place; serve at room temperature. Ideal over grilled fish, with burrata, or as a finish on pasta al pomodoro.
