Lingue di suocera with Fleur de Sel

Lingue di suocera—mother-in-law's tongues—are a Piedmontese classic: paper-thin, crunchy flatbread from the Mario Fongo bakery. This version with Fleur de Sel was created in close cooperation with the baker and was developed exclusively for Vinoscout.

Mario Fongo stands for artisanal pastry from Piedmont—a region as famous for its gourmet culture as it is for its wines. The Fleur de Sel is applied by hand and provides a clear, mineral counterpoint to the neutral dough.

A light crunch in the mouth, fine buttery note, salty finish. Ideal as an aperitivo accompaniment, with antipasti, or next to a mature Pecorino. For wine, a dry Gavi di Gavi or a light Barbera d'Asti pairs well.
