Besides its complexity and mineral notes, Niepoort's Fabelhaft also impresses with its remarkable depth – attributes so typical of dry Douro wines. The color is vibrant, with medium intensity. The aromas are very expressive, displaying fresh and floral notes, dominated by the balsamic accents so characteristic of the Douro Valley. On the palate, the wine is elegant, lively, and refined without being heavy, with a distinct mineral character. With its harmony and elegance, this wine perfectly embodies the uncomplicated style that is so important to the Niepoort estate. 20% of the wine is aged in French oak barriques.

The Quinta
Niepoort Vinhos is a family business based in Portugal, founded in 1842 by Franciscus Marius Niepoort, which has dedicated itself to wine and port wine production. The company is currently managed in the fifth generation by Eduard Dirk Niepoort and Verena Niepoort.
The company is based in the town of Vila Nova de Gaia, known for its port wine. In 1987, the Quinta de Napoles winery was added, which is located on the banks of the Têdo River in the Douro region. In 1988, the Quinta de Carril winery with 9 hectares of cultivated land was purchased.
In addition, the company also owns Quinta de Baixo in Bairrada and Quinta da Lomba in the Dão region, as well as a few hectares in the Minho region, which belongs to the Vinho Verde region.
