Nat'Cool Bairrada Tinto

Nat'Cool Bairrada Tinto
An uncomplicated red wine from the Bairrada region that shows what the often underestimated Baga grape variety can achieve when it is not weighed down with too much wood or extraction.
Niepoort from the Douro has long since transcended the boundaries of port wine. With the Nat'Cool line, Dirk Niepoort has created a range of fresh, natural wines—vinified with minimal intervention, little sulfur, and a keen focus on fruit expression and drinkability. The Bairrada region, with its clay soils and Atlantic climate, provides the ideal foundation for this.
In the glass, the wine shines a bright, vibrant red. The nose offers aromas of fresh sour cherry, violets, and a hint of wild herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied with crisp acidity and subtle tannins—not a heavyweight, but a wine that invites a second glass. The finish is short and clean with a delicate lingering fruitiness.
