Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle in HK
Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru from one of the most sought-after sites in the Côte de Nuits — directly below the Grands Crus Chapelle-Chambertin and Clos de Bèze. The clay soils of Petite Chapelle give the Pinot Noir a darker, fleshier fruit character than is typical of the higher-altitude limestone vineyards.
For over 160 years, Louis Jadot has been one of the most trusted names in Burgundy classics. Based in Beaune, the négociant works closely with winegrowers throughout the Côte d'Or and is known for its precise, age-worthy vinification.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of dark cherry, plum, and blackcurrant, underpinned by cedar and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and a fresh acidity that provides length and vibrancy. The finish is long and spicy, with a subtle earthy note.
