Gérard Bertrand Minervois Heritage 873

The grapes for Bertrand's Minervois Grand Terroir are carefully hand-harvested, fully destemmed in the winery, and fermented slowly on the skins according to variety, allowing each wine to fully express its varietal and terroir-specific character. After alcoholic fermentation, the varietal wines remain in tanks to complete malolactic fermentation. Only then are they blended to create the final cuvée and aged for approximately eight months in 225-liter Bordeaux barriques. After barrel aging, the wine is only lightly fined before bottling and rests for several more months before being released for sale.
