Gerard Bertrand Gris Blanc VdP

Color: very light, almost transparent salmon to raspberry pink. Aroma: fragrant bouquet of fresh strawberries, subtly underscored with a hint of herbal spice. Taste: fresh and fruity on the palate, very elegant with a delicate tingle on the tongue and fine, fresh acidity in the finish. The Grenache Gris grapes for Gris Blanc are harvested entirely by hand, immediately transported to the winery, and pressed right away. The musts are fermented at low temperatures of 15 to 18 °C, and the wines are aged on the fine lees for several weeks. Weekly stirring of the lees (bâtonnage) gives the wine even more supple richness.
