Château L'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge

Château L'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge
The Grand Vin Rouge from Château L'Hospitalet, Gérard Bertrand's flagship estate, grows on limestone cliffs just behind the coast of Narbonne Plage. Sea breezes and the dry garrigue landscape ensure both concentration and freshness—a combination rarely achieved so consistently in the Languedoc.
Each grape variety is fermented separately, then aged in new oak barriques. Only the best barrels are blended for the Grand Vin—a selection principle more commonly found in the Médoc. The result: a structured, full-bodied red wine with dark berry fruit, Mediterranean herbs, and a firm yet ripe tannin structure.
Pairs well with braised lamb with olive tapenade, wild boar ragout, or a robust Reblochon. Serving temperature 16–18 °C; drinking window 4–10 years from harvest, depending on the vintage.
