Gris Blanc Magnum

Gris Blanc is what the French call a vin gris : a rosé wine pressed so lightly that it is almost indistinguishable from a white wine. Gérard Bertrand, one of the most renowned producers of the Languedoc, thus captures the typical style of the region in a bottle – light, aromatic, and easy to drink.

Bertrand manages several vineyards around Narbonne and Carcassonne, many of them certified biodynamic. The Gris Blanc represents the approachable side of the estate: no long aging periods, no oak – instead, maturation on the lees for added texture and depth.

In the glass, it displays an almost clear, salmon-pink color. The nose offers aromas of strawberry, white peach, and a hint of citrus zest. On the palate, it's light-bodied with lively acidity and a fresh, short finish. Not a wine to ponder – but that's precisely the point.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with goat cheese, grilled vegetables, salads with vinaigrette, or simply as an aperitif outdoors. The magnum bottle makes it a practical choice for larger gatherings.
