Ulisse Merlot Rosato

A rosé from Abruzzo that shows what Merlot can do in this region: fruity and direct, yet surprisingly balanced – not a product of chance, but an excellent wine with 99 points from Luca Maroni (2019 and 2020 vintages).

Tenuta Ulisse is one of the most renowned wineries in Abruzzo. The soils between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea offer continental nights and sunny days – ideal conditions for aromatically concentrated rosé wines with a clear acid structure.

In the glass, the Merlot Rosato shines a clear salmon pink. The nose offers aromas of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, with a hint of rosehip. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with a lovely balance of fruit and acidity and a clean, short finish.

Best served chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with grilled salmon, light pasta dishes with tomato and basil sauce, or a burrata salad. Also a good choice as a casual summer evening wine on its own.
