DIECI VENDEMMIE NV Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

A Montepulciano that embodies the essence of an entire decade. For the Dieci Vendemmie, Tenuta Ulisse blends wines from ten different vintages into a dense, off-dry cuvée. The result is a red wine with noticeable depth and mature aromatics.

Brothers Antonio and Luigi Ulisse continue the legacy of their grandfather, who planted the first vines in Abruzzo at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, the vineyards are spread across 55 hectares around the coastal villages of Crecchio, Lanciano, and Ortona. This mosaic of terroirs, combined with rigorous hand-harvesting, yields highly concentrated grapes that form the basis for this powerful wine.

In the glass, the wine displays a rich density. The bouquet opens with warm notes of wood, cedar, and leather, followed by blueberries, currants, and a hint of coconut and mocha. On the palate, it presents a velvety texture, supported by dark fruit, delicate spices, and a gentle balsamic sweetness.

With its soft, semi-dry profile, it effortlessly carries robust flavors. Serve it at 16 to 18 °C with slow-cooked roast beef, venison ragout with dark chocolate sauce, or aged Pecorino cheese.
