Winzer Sommerach Frizzante Secco Rosa

A light sparkling wine from Franconia – perfect for evenings on the terrace or as an uncomplicated introduction to summer.

Winzer Sommerach is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in Franconia, founded in 1901 on the Volkach Main River bend. The cooperative cultivates vineyards on limestone and Keuper soil – classic Franconian terroirs that produce fresh, characterful wines.

In the glass, it displays a pale rosé with fine bubbles. The nose offers aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry, fresh and crisp. On the palate, it is dry and light-bodied, with a crisp acidity and a short, fruity finish. Not a complex, cellar-style wine – but that's precisely what it doesn't aspire to be.

Winzer Sommerach

Winzer Sommerach is the oldest winegrowers' cooperative in Franconia – founded in 1901 by 35 winegrowing families who joined forces to survive during a time of phylloxera infestation and plummeting prices. Today, 90 families carry on this tradition, cultivating around 200 hectares on the Main River loop and tending the Sommeracher Katzenkopf vineyard, one of the most important sites in the region. Their motto, "High standards make the difference," is not just a slogan: every bottle can be traced back to a specific winegrower and their vineyard – transparency and community as a lived principle for over 120 years.
