Heritage Crémant de Limoux

Heritage Crémant de Limoux
This Crémant from Gérard Bertrand comes from Limoux, one of France's oldest sparkling wine regions. Long before Champagne, wine was already being produced here using the traditional method of bottle fermentation. The mild climate of the Languedoc, influenced by Atlantic and Mediterranean climates, gives the grapes ripe fruit flavors combined with a refreshing acidity.
In the glass: white blossoms, green apple, honey, and a delicate toasty note from lees aging. Fine-pored, creamy bubbles, lively acidity without harshness, fresh finish. More depth than many northern French Crémants – without the heaviness.
Serving temperature 7–9 °C. As an aperitif, with goat cheese from Languedoc, light fish dishes or grilled seafood.
