Grünhäuser Riesling off-dry QW Mosel

An off-dry Riesling from the Mosel that keeps fruit and structure in balance: precise, mineral-driven, and without superficial sweetness.

Maximin Grünhaus is one of the most famous wineries on the Mosel and stands for Rieslings with a clear sense of origin. This 2024 vintage shows the house's signature: it focuses on balance rather than loud effects.

On the nose, apple and pear meet kiwi, lychee, and fine herbal notes. On the palate, the wine appears precise and structured, with the mineral contour carrying through to the long finish. The off-dry style combines ripe fruit with fresh acidity. With some air in the glass, it gains expression and shows more details step by step.

Serve it at 9 to 11 °C. It goes well with fried fish, poultry with lemon butter, or slightly spicy Asian dishes, where the off-dry note provides a counterpoint to the spice.

Maximin Grünhaus is one of the great names in the German wine world – and has been for centuries. The winery in the Ruwer Valley, a quiet side valley of the Moselle, was once owned by the Benedictine monastery of St. Maximin. Today, the von Schubert family cultivates this heritage with dedication and precision.

The three vineyard sites of Abtsberg, Bruderberg, and Herrenberg produce Rieslings that speak for themselves: delicate, mineral, with that unmistakable coolness and elegance that makes the Ruwer region so special. Whether a fresh and fruity Kabinett or a deep Spätlese – here you can taste history in every glass.
