Herrenberg Riesling Superior QW Mosel 0.75L
The Herrenberg Riesling Superior from Maximin Grünhaus comes from one of the most renowned single vineyards in the Ruwer Valley—a tributary of the Moselle, known for its cool nights and delicate Rieslings. The Maximin Grünhaus winery, documented since the 9th century and now owned by the von Schubert family, is one of the most prestigious wineries on the Moselle, Saar, and Ruwer rivers. The Herrenberg vineyard lies below the famous Abtsberg hill on weathered Devonian slate—a soil that retains heat and imparts its characteristic minerality to the Riesling.
In the glass, it displays a delicately tart style with ripe yellow fruit: apricot, mirabelle plum, and a hint of white peach. Underlying this is a fresh, well-integrated acidity that keeps the wine lively without being harsh. The finish is medium-long, slightly spicy with a subtle slatey note.
"Off-dry" here means residual sweetness that is completely balanced by the acidity—not a dessert wine, but a food wine with substance. Good with spicy Asian cuisine, pan-fried pike-perch with buttered vegetables, or strong Munster cheese. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Drinking window until 2028.

Maximin Grünhaus is one of the great names in the German wine world – and has been for centuries. The winery in the Ruwer Valley, a quiet side valley of the Moselle, was once owned by the Benedictine monastery of St. Maximin. Today, the von Schubert family cultivates this heritage with dedication and precision.
The three vineyard sites of Abtsberg, Bruderberg, and Herrenberg produce Rieslings that speak for themselves: delicate, mineral, with that unmistakable coolness and elegance that makes the Ruwer region so special. Whether a fresh and fruity Kabinett or a deep Spätlese – here you can taste history in every glass.
